Those who are called (invited) are those who are willing to hear the gospel of Christ and to have a holy faith (Romans 10:16-18Jude 20).

A person must repent of all their sins and therefore be converted (a change of mind), that their sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19).

Is willing to verbally confess before man that Jesus is the Son of God and is God (Luke 12:8-9Romans 10:9-101 Timothy 6:121 John 4:15).

This confession shows a person is willing to honor the Son of God as they honor God the Father (John 5:23).

A person desires to be baptized in the name of (by the authority of) God the Father, God the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:18-20) will be saved (Mark 16:16) which washes away the sins of the person and to give one a good conscience towards God (Acts 22:161 Peter 3:21).

A person who answers this call wants to be faithfully obedient in all things (2 Corinthians 2:9), to have a working (practicing) faith (James 2:14-26) until the day one dies (Revelation 2:10).

Thus, the gospel is what calls one through the inspirational words of the Holy Spirit (2 Thessalonians 2:13-14).
